The boots feature d3o, a one-of-a-kind, specially engineered material that provides 'intelligent shock absorption.' d3o moves freely until impact, at which point the molecules lock together to absorb shock and resist the force of impact, providing the industry's first flexible metatarsal guard.

Very comfortable boot, wear them eight hours+ a day. Very good to stand in without getting sore, would own another pair without question. Hopefully they hold up long term.
